Lads Unlucky After Confident Display

Inspired by their night supporting the first team and talking excitedly about copying Alex Vincent's goal celebration, Swaffham's youngsters produced one of their most assured displays of the season and were unlucky to be on the end of a defeat. Great passing moves and an eagerness to win the ball contributed to Thomas Gavin adding to his goal from last week with a great finish when one on one with the keeper, a lead that the Pedlar's carried into the interval thanks to some quality keeping from Harry Anderson. Terrington came out of the blocks quicker in the second half and soon equalised. Despite Harry Smith making some good saves, they took the lead against the run of play shortly afterwards. Swaffham heads didn't drop and they equalised following another superb solo goal from Arthur "Messi" Rowling. Sensing victory, Town pushed on looking for a winner and came close several times. Good interplay from Louie Voutt and Ashton Gagen led to chances for Liam Rutherford and Louis Westhorpe. Arthur Rowling almost added to his tally when he struck the post late on but, despite some last ditch tackles, Terrington scored the winner with almost the last kick of the game. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the match again and this ranks up with their best performances of the season. Once again the match was played in a great spirit and the lads can certainly hold their heads up high.
