Swaffham made there longest trip of the season to F.C.Clacton. The home side kicked off in blustery conditions but it was the ''Pedlars that took the early initiative with Simmons forcing a 5th min corner and a minute later Hemeter finding Hunter with a superb crossfield ball, Hunters cross headed just over By Seales.On 16 mins Clacton with there first real threatening move were fortunate to be awarded a penalty.This was duly dispatched by the no.11 leaving Marshall with no chance. On the counter attack Kenny was unfortunate to see his lob go just wide, from a great through ball by Russell. Marshall produced a great save on 22mins. but was beaten again after a fine Clacton move resulted in Coyle the no.7 netting in the 30min.
The ''Pedlars'' started the second half much the better team but were stunned by two quick goals in the 51st and 56th min. Kenny had two further attempts saved, before Seales broke the visitors duck by scoring from an acute angle in the 77min. To little to late, as the home side broke up field to seal the game, with further goals in the 79th and 87th min. Not a true reflection on an entertaining game and no reward for a long trip to the seaside for the ''Pedlars'' of Swaffham.
