The Pedlars back to earth with a bump....
Even a 90th minute consulation goal from leading goalscorer Joe Jackson couldn't make amends for the disappointing performance following recent good form. Sloppy defending allowed the home side to take the initiative in the fifteenth minute, the Pedlars without Rory Harper through work committments and Alex Vincent starting on the bench, still recouperating following injury last week. Strong and solid play in the middle of the park by 'Mikey' Thompson and Jack Redhead but the end game saw very little threat to the Brightlingsea goal. The long journey, extreme heat and hard ground taking it's toll on Swaffham. Regent claimed a second with eight minutes to go, Jackson's finish too little too late for the visitors to attempt to claim a point.
