Bad day at the office for the Pedlars !
A disappointing weekend for all Swaffham senior teams.The First Team away to Team Bury, unable to
re-produce the quality football from the previous week. The home-side going two nil up in the first half hour, the Pedlars unable to respond until the last twenty minutes of the second half. A consulation goal for Rory Harper in the 79th minute, the equaliserlooked as though it might appear, but chances taken were either saved or battered away by the defence.
The Reserves, away at Hoveton Wherrymen were narrowly defeated three goals to two, Charlie Gunner bagging both for the Pedlars.
At Shoemakers Lane the 'A' Team had the heaviest of defeats, a seven-one drubbing by Castle Acre Swifts in the Ben Smith Memorial Cup.Ryan Skeet on the scoresheet for the Pedlars.
The First Team are in action this Tuesday, Great Yarmouth Town are the visitors to Shoemakers Lane, kick off 7.45pm.Next Saturday they travel te Cass Centre to play second place Cambridge University Press, kick off 3pm. The Reserves are at home to Thorpe Village whilst the 'A' Team are away to Northwold Sports & Social Club, kick offs 2.30pm amd 3pm respectively.
Note for the diary: Tuesday 12 March, the First Team are at home to play March Town United in the Thurlow Nunn First Division, 7.45 pm kick off.
