Pedlars beat white out to record a good home result

Swaffham Town 2 Stowmarket Town 0

The weather tried it's hardest to stop play on Saturday afternoon, but sensible play by both teams, the officials and the intervention of the 'Black and White Barrows' to brush the lines during the second half, kept the match alive and entertaining for those who braved the elements.
The character of the Pedlars squad displayed on the half hour, a courageous goal-line clearance, resulting in Matthew Parkinson and David Jackson clashing heads but saving the goal.David having to retire from the match, a nasty cut to his forehead needing medical attention.
Goal-less at half-time the snow starting to lay!The breakthrough came in the 66th minute, a darting rundown the left wing by Alex Vincent, his whipped in cross met by the head of Parkinson, beating the keeper from ten yards, his first goal of the season.Rory Harper made it two in the 81st minute, turning his defender one way then the other, striking from the edge of the box, finding the bottom right hand side corner of the net.A good performance and deserved three points for the Pedlars.
The Reserves unlucky to scrape a point at Wymondham Towns Reserves, loosing 4 - 3 after coming back from 4 - 1, Stephen Aspery with one goal, Charlie Gunner a brace.Better fair for the 'A' Team, 3 - 1 victors away to Thetford Rovers Reserves, Luke Askew, Matthew Coe and Blake Stangroome the scorers.
Weather permitting a busy couple of weeks to contend with.On Tuesday they are at home to March Town?United (7.45pm k/o), travel to Whitton United Saturday (3pm k/o) and then Easter Monday, Fakenham Town are the visitors to Shoemakers Lane for the Bank Holiday derby, kick off 11am.
