A number of players absent through work committments with Community Football and some carrying injuries, gave the opportunity for some young blood to start in the opening eleven.It was always going to be a tough fixture, Brightlingsea in the mix for promotion and historically always been tough competition.An even first half, an early chance for Alex Vincent, set through by Daren Hockton, his effort gathered by the Regent keeper.At the other end, Scott Cruickshank equally as effective, taking a driven cross high and beyond attacking heads.Great play between Rory Harper and George Hutton, leading to Harper's finish to beat the keeper but sail over the bar, the best play of the half.
The visitors taking the lead in the 52nd minute through a penalty for hand ball, Dean Miller unable to avoid an awkward bounce.? Cruickshank went the right way but the penalty well placed and driven into the right-hand corner.The second came just three minutes later, the attacker slotting past the keeper,from a dubiously off-side position ! Regent's third came in the 68th minute, Cruickshank beaten by a wicked deflection.Swaffham pushed to get one back and were beaten twice more in the closing 10 minutes on the counter.The score not truely reflecting the football, the Pedlars with three games to go and a reasonable position in the league.

Another busy week ahead for the Pedlars, Tuesday the First Team contest the final derby of the season, away to Fakenham Town, kick off 7.45pm, the 'A'Team are at home to Shipdham k/o 6.30pm.
Wednesday the Reserves are at home to Thorpe Village, kick off 7.30pm.
Next Saturday, the First Team travel to Ipswich Wanderers for their final away league game, kick off 3pm, the Reserves are at home to Mulbarton, k/o 2.30pm.
Monday week, (22 April) the Under 18's complete their season, at home to Newmarket Town and the 'A' Team playCastle Acre Swifts on Tuesday 23 April.
