Swaffham had the greatest of starts in this 3rd round Senior Cup tie when Hunter won the ball in midfield beat 2 players and played in Kenny who rounded the keeper to pass the ball into an empty net. Sheringham quickly replied in the 8th min when a series of poor clearances allowed the home no.10 to net. The Pedlars countered and had narrow misses by Seales, Cornwall and Greenwood. The Shannocks went further ahead on 24 mins when a free kick was headed on and looped over the stranded Marshall.The visitors continued to press but to no avail.The second half started in the same vain as the first finished with the ''Pedlars'' pressing forward but once again this came to nothing. The home sides lead was increased on 69 mins when a long punt caught out the visiting defence and a cross shot to the far post beat the keeper.The game was all but wrapped up in the 80th min with the home side scoring there 4th. Seales scored a consolation''tap-in'' on 90 mins.
