Young pedlars loose out in Suffolk

Debenham LC 4 Swaffham Town 2

A disappointing trip to Suffolk for the Pedlars. A young squad,
lacking some of the experienced members through work and family
committments, finding the rough and tumble of senior football and heavy
conditions difficuly to acustomise too.
The Pedlars took the lead inthe 23rd minute,Alex Vincent following up a
back pass, the keeper miss kicking, providing a gift. Ironically,
Debenham's equaliser on the stroke of half time also coming from a
mis-kick, Dean Miller caught out through the ball bobbling, the ball
pounced upon and keeper Lee Brooks lobbed from 25 yards.
Slow out of the gates for the second half, the home-side made it two in
the 49th minute, then three 5 minutes later and what seemed to be the
final nail in the coffin, the fourth in the 58th minute. Swaffham
rallied and began to play their style of football and create chances.
It looked as though they may have a chance to pull things back,
thekeeper unable to keep hold of a Joe jackson volley, substitute Aaron
Porter converting the spilled ball to make it 4-2 with 21 minutes
remaining but Debenham dug in solid and denied any further
opportunities.

Next Saturday the Pedlars return to Suffolk to play AFC
Sudbury Reserves.
Better fortune for the Reserves with a 6-1 home thumping of Blofield
United Reserves. Goals from Matthew Coe, Isaac Catchpole, Jack Dougal,
Angus bailey and Charlie Gunner (2). Next weekend they travel to
Hempnell Reserves
An away win for the 'A' Team also bagging 6 against Rockland United,
Lee Goodsell, Jordan Lown, Blake Stangroome and a hat trick for Luke
Askew. Next Saturday they are away to West End.
