A great festive break for the Pedlars. Each Team bringing home the
points
The Boxing Day derby saw the Pedlars make hard work to take all three
points from Dereham Town Reserves. Goals from Matthew Castellan and
Rory Harper sufficient to clinch the points with the Magpies getting a
consolation goal in the eightieth minute keping everybody on their toes.
Credit to Dereham Town's keeper, Matthew Powley, man of the match for
keeping his side in the game, denying Swaffham on more than one
occasion.
Great results for the Reserves and 'A' Team at the weekend, both teams
showing those who braved the cold, fine displays of entertaining
football. The Reserves breaking down Costessey Sports for an 8-0
defeat, goals from returning from injury Matthew Parkinson, Isaac
Catchpole, Lewis Fuller, George Hutton, David Weaver-Pope and a
hat-trick from Charlie Gunner. Next Fixture, Saturday at home to
Easton, 14:30 K:O
The 'A' Team beating Bridgham United 3-2 in a strongly contested
battle, Luke Askew and Blake Stangroome (2) finding the net. Top of the table clash
at Castle Acre Swifts for next weekend. 14:00 K:O
On Saturday, the First Team travel to Ram Meadow, Bury St. Edmunds to open their
account in 2014. Fixtures against Team Bury have been extremely
entertaining in the past, two young teams both playing fast and furious
exciting football. K:O 15:00
Swaffham Town FC wish their sponsors, members and spectators a very
