Pedlars Cup dream extinguished
Swaffham Town bowed out gracefully from their FA Cup fairy tale. They were beaten by two goals to nil and pass on the Radio Five, 606 non-league team of thecompetition on to Huntingdon Town. The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute, a 25 yard strike straight into the top left hand corner, keeper Lee Brooks having no chance. They cemented their lead five minutes into the second half, again Brooks powerless to stop the lob to make it two. The Pedlars battled hard but the glimmer of opportunity never quite opening to let them back into the game. Many thanks to those who came to support the team and we hope to welcome you back to Shoemakers Lane for what is already looking to be an exciting season. Thanks to match sponsors Coral the bookmakers and The George Hotel for their continued support.
