Early cup exit for Swaffham

Swaffham once settled, had opportunities to take advantage in the first half but failed to hit the mark. Thetford lucky to have keeper Scott Cruikshank on the pitch, deliberately hand balling outside of the box, denying a goalscoring opportunity, lucky to just see yellow. The Pedlars went down to ten men, Mark Allibone receiving a second yellow card, allegedly deliberately handling the ball, questionably whilst being fouled on the half way line, the referee reacting to the appeals of Thetford.
The goal coming at the end of the ninety, Thetford again receiving the luck, fortunate to not be penalised for a clear obstruction and potential offside.

The Pedlars will have to rely on the FA Vase if they are to find a road to Wembley this season, they have another away draw, travelling to United Counties League, Yaxley, Saturday 6 September.
Swaffham return to League action on Tuesday, away to March Town United, kick off 7.45pm.
