The ''Pedlars'' continued there pre season friendly form, by coming away from Ely City with a very good performance and another win under their belt.
The first half was fairly even until the ''Pedlars'' young debutant Rob Powley hit a superb strike from 30 yards, to beat the home keeper at his far post, the ball entering the net in the bottom right hand corner. This was on 30mins, Ely struck back almost immediately when Will O'Brien lost the ball in midfield, allowing the home no9 to run forward and smash a superb volley from 18yds, past ''Rocky'' Mayes in the visiting goal. Will then made ammends for his mistake by using his quick feet to, play an excellent ball to ''Jacko'' Jackson to score with great confidence.
The young ''Pedlars team played some superb football through-out the game and could have increased there lead on a couple of occassions only for the pitch to beat Richie Cornwall and Craig Burton when both raced clear of the home defence. As a home fan said ''what an excellent performance from a young side against a team from a division above''.
