Despite playing the best football, luck again avoided the Pedlars away to the Blue Imps at Brantham Athletic. The home side took the lead thirty five minutes into the game, Captain Alex Vincent levelling three minutes into the second half, direct from a corner kick, Brantham regained the lead straight away from the restart and then added another three minutes later, Dan gentry making a fine stop, Brantham capitalising on the spilled ball.
Hope restored in the fifty fourth minute, Matthew Blackford playing Joe Jackson through, clinically striking across the goal to net in the bottom left hand corner. Brantham getting their fourth from a corner dubiously awarded, but no complaints about the finish. No game next Saturday, the Pedlars next play Walsham-Le-Willows at home on Easter Monday, kick off 3pm.
Better fortune for the Reserves, an impressive 5- 3 victory over the division top side Gayton United. Captain Sam Loomes leading by example and bagging a hat trick, Jack Prentice and Connor Germaney contributing the other two. Next Saturday the Reserves are away to Long Stratton Reserves with a late 4pm kick off.
The Under 18's returned to form with a three nil win away to Easton & Otley College, Matthew Blackford with two penalties, Korben Willis adding to his season's total with the other. Wednesday they are away to Lakeford Rangers looking to keep their division title race alive.
The Veterans were in action last Sunday week, a 5-2 defeat away to Cringleford, Tony Chapman scoring both for the older Pedlars. Their next game is Sunday 9 April away to Unthank Arms.
