Pre- Season at Wells

Town took a mixture of all three teams for there visit to the seaside.They could have opened the scoring in the 1st minute when Keith Polski was brought down from behind for a good penalty appeal. Wells had an equally good appeal turned down on 6minute for hand ball.
8th and 10th minute saw corners from Steve Asprey and Matt Kenny cleared. On 15 minutes Paul Shafer rounded the keeper but hit the post.With 26 minutes gone Shafer made up for his earlier miss to score easily.
Wells first corner did not come until the 38th minute proving how solid and in charge of the game Swaffham were.
The second half a much more determined home side and a good run from the mid-field was well defended.
With 57 mins. gone Swaffham increased there lead when excellent work by Shafer and Asprey released 'Lewy' Hemeter, whose powerful surging run from the middle of the park provided him with a chance to forcefully plant the ball down to the keeper's right, leaving him completly wrong footed.
Wels clawed a goal back on 65 mins. beating the Pedlars offside trap. Along ball lofted over the visitors defence was run onto by the Wells no 10 to chip Marshall in the Swaffham goal.
67 mins and Plumb forced his way through the centre of the field but to no avail. Andy Hunter had two god efforts in the final ten mins., one from a glorious lay back by Jordan Lown and one made by his own endeavour beating three players only to see his effort well saved by the home keeper.
