Pedlars keep marching on, Swaffham Town 2 Debenham LC 1
Another three points with a convincing win over League leaders Debenham LC. Swaffham taking the lead on the stroke of half time, Joe Jackson played through by Dwayne Hockton to slot past the visiting keeper. The Pedlars still depleated through multiple injuries, demonstrated their strength as a squad and remained calm and dedicated to playing their passing game, despite the efforts of Debenham to kick and run.
Jackson made in two, fifteen minutes into the second half, rounding the keeper and netting, the Debenham defender unable to clear and slicing the ball into the net. The visitors getting one back just four minutes later, the pressure back on the Pedlars to keep them at bay. Solid defending by the Swaffham back four and sound keeping by Joshua Barnes ensured the three points. A great performance by a young Pedlar squad, providing great entertainment for the spectators and promise for a fantastic season.
Tuesday Swaffham play a friendly at home to RAF Marham and Saturday travel to Needham Market Reserves.
The Reserves got back on the winning trail with 3 excellent points taken at Norwich CEYMS, 3-0, all goal scorers a product of the U18's, with Kodie Turvey, Nick Castellan and Finlay Bloodworth finding the net.
Next Saturday they are away to Mattishall Reserves in the Norfolk County Junior Cup.
